Kindergarten opens for 2012

The kindergarten opened last week for 2012.
In the picture you can see the teacher and the
kids in the new area we prepared.

This year we have many new children attending
as much as 80%. The children who graduated
last year have gone on the attend the village's
school.

The church is beginning the new year the way it
ended last year, strong, as the congregation is
continuing to come to participate in worship.

Just a little information about Namibia and
our village ...

At this time of year we are in the middle of the
rainy season (our summer) and the people are
going to their fields. The main crop grown is
called mahangu. Really don't know of another
type of crop that is similar on other continents.
But it is quick growing (needs about 3 months),
germinates in about 2 to 3 days. It also doesn't
need much water. So it has a better chance to
survive the short rainy season here.

Also, the village is about to receive a project for
electrification and though it may take time to
install, we know that it will give us a chance to
expand some of our project ideas in the future.

We hope that God will bless us in this new year
as He has blessed us in our mission up to now.
